Environmental Portraiture

All too often when people think of a “portrait”, they think of a studio setting with lights and formal posing. However, in more recent years the trend has moved to environmental portraits.
What does this mean you ask? It simply refers to capturing photos OUTSIDE of a studio. It could be outdoors, or in your own home.
The options are limitless! Although I have several ideas and spots I like to use, please don’t be afraid to suggest a location when we are discussing your session. I am always open to new ideas!

Briana

I had the opportunity to work with Briana Shaker  www.brianamodel.com  at a recent Lighting Essentials Workshop  www.lighting-essentials.com  that I hosted.

She is a true professional, an amazing dancer, and all around fun person….with an affinity for ripped jeans and frozen drinks ;)

Thanks again Bri!

Boys of Summer

It’s hard to believe that the summer is half over. The kids have only four weeks left until they head back to readin’ writin’ and ‘rithmatic. I hate them wasting the days away playing video games, so when they decided to head down to the field and play ball, I thought it best to capture the moment!

Nevermind that it was sopping wet from the previous three days of rain…and had just been mowed, creating a pool of sticky cut grass.

Enjoy it while it lasts my little men. ♥
