Sneak Peek: William and Dimitra | Halifax Child Photographer

The second of my Mini Sessions, William and Dimitra were so cute today. With their striking eyes and porcelain skin, they made my job very easy.

I struggled between posting the color or B&W versions of their images, but the beautiful stonework in their backyard provided such great texture and rich colors that these won out.

Siblings always provide an interesting challenge. It’s important to capture them separately, and more often than not, that’s the easy part….but together?  That can be a deal breaker, especially at such young ages. It is usually a fleeting moment, sometimes only ONE moment…..but if you’re lucky, one is all you’ll need. ♥

Barb, I hope you love them as much as I do…thank you for having me!

Summer Sessions

It’s hard to believe that I only have 4 available slots left for the whole summer! People have been asking, so I thought the easiest thing to do was post the available dates:

July 12,19,26 and August 23

Book your summer session by the end of this week and receive a $50 credit towards your print order!

Now, since blog posts are pretty boring without photos, here is one of the recent 5×7 folded birth announcements I designed for Jenn and Andrew!

Fast Friends | Halifax Child Photographer

Little miss Loren. Didn’t want me to stay at first…..and didn’t want me to leave in the end.  ♥

Spunk. That’s what Loren has. Plus, her favorite bird is a condor. Who could deny a 2 year old with that for an answer?

The first of my March Mini sessions was great fun. A  little bug spray, a little soccer, and lots of giggles. Toss in a “s’prise for Mommy”, a hug for the photographer and you’ve got yourselves the makings of a great morning.

Thanks Loren, Kelly and Chloe!

Patience | Halifax Newborn Photographer

patience noun: quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence

Before I became a photographer, patient was not often a word used to describe me. Yet,  I am now able to spend 5 hours rocking and waiting, for that one perfect moment of peace.

Little miss Laila was born 12 days ago to Kevin, Melissa and big sister Ava.  A tiny little thing , described by Melissa as “a very light sleeper” she eventually lost a hard fought battle with the Land of Nod…….and proved beyond a doubt that indeed, with great patience comes great reward.

World, meet Laila.

Lintaman Family Sneak Peek | Halifax Child Photographer

I’ve often said that I have the best clients. I do. Today’s family was no different. Willing to do whatever I asked (who knew a stick and a rock could go so far!), the Lintaman family risked rain, bees and dogs all in the pursuit of some great family photos.

Operation, success.

I’m excited to show them you sneak peek,  and  hope you like them as much as I do.

And dear Katie, I hope Kindermusik, lunch and a visit with Grammy made up for “the worst day of your life”. ♥
