Albums can be used for any type of session! In this instance, it was a super sweet baby book!  Here are a few of the pages:

Another product I’m really excited about are my new Brag Books!

2.5×3.5″ leather accordian albums, they are the perfect way to show off your photo session…or how about as a Grandparents’ gift?

Just toss them in your purse, or desk drawer and always have those special photos close by! They are doublesided, so you can have up to 10 photos in one little keepsake!

Love these.

And finally, something I’ve been meaning to put together for the longest time.

Your session is done, and you are now faced with the task of deciding which photos, how big, and where on earth are you going to put them? How will they look together?

Have no fear, the Design Guide is here!

With almost two dozen different layouts, and a multitude of size combinations, visualizing your new portraits just got a whole lot easier.

In addition to having a hardcopy available for you to view after your session, I will be uploading the layouts to a private page here on the blog. You will be given the password at the same time you receive your session gallery!

Sneak Peek: Lola Jean and the ‘rents | Halifax Child & Family Photographer

Have you ever cooked for a chef? If so, you can understand the serious case of nerves that overtook me when asked to do this session!

Little Miss Lola Jean is afflicted with the same disease as my poor children…. CWPP…aka Child with Photographer Parent. ;)

Dad is Chief Applehead over at Applehead Studio located here in Halifax. A super dee duper wedding and portrait photographer in his own right, for the life of me, I couldn’t understand why he needed ME!

Humbled, honored and horrified I set out this beautiful morning praying to the camera gods. This is how it unfolded:

Liam, Marcia and Lola….it was a pleasure. I hope it wasn’t TOO painful taking a walk on “the other side”.

Arrived as colleagues and clients, left as friends. Love it when that happens. ♥

Littlest Heroes: Kayden Holmes | Halifax Child Photographer

After almost two straight weeks of rain, doom and gloom, the skys parted yesterday and this little ray of shineshine appeared! Kayden is quite possibly the happiest five month old I’ve ever met!

His parents Jen and Steve made the trip into the city after being accepted by The Littlest Heroes Project.

Here is how mom Jen described Kayden’s journey:

“Kayden was born Feb 2,2009 at the IWK in Halifax. At my 20 week ultrasound a heart defect was discovered. He was closely watched. After he was born, he was sent to the PICU (then to the NICU at 9 days old)and had many tests done. They found 5 defects with his heart and told us this was a rare condition that maybe 2 kids a year are born with! He was scheduled for open heart surgery but they cancelled it to try something new and less risky. That procedure was canceled because he was stable and “balancing things out on his own”

We got to take him home when he was 18 days old. He has surprised many doctors because  they didn’t think he would live but he is still going strong. To date he sees a doctor once a week and his cardiologist every 4 weeks. He will be having the surgery in the next couple of months. He has no spleen so he is on amoxicillan twice a day. A simple cold can put him in the hospital. My son is a miracle and has fought for his life since the day he was born and he is still going strong!”

Kayden’s surgery will take place this Thursday, July 16th.

Sneak Peek: Spitfires | Halifax Child Photographer

There is something a little extra special about redheads. Full of spunk and stunning to photograph.

I have known this family for almost seven years now, and Ella and Henry are almost the exact same ages as my neices.

We had great fun this morning….playing on the awesome swingset, blowing bubbles, and exploring the Troll Forest. Take THAT Mother Nature!

Jill and Malcolm (and everyone else attending the bbq ;) ) here is a real quick sneak peek, I hope you like!
