Sneak Peek: Baby Samuel | Halifax Newborn Baby & Family Photographer

A bit of back story to start:

I am just coming up on the end of my first year in business….really in business. Until last October, I had a hobby that I liked, and every so often put some effort in to.

After much encouragement from my better half, I pulled up my socks and dove right in.

Judy was my first fan. Like, a REAL fan. She always commented on my work and she didn’t even have to. We weren’t related or ANYTHING! ;)

She always said that when she had a baby, I would do her newborn portraits. It’s one thing to say, and another all together to actually mean it. Much to my delight, she really did.

Judy and Andre……your Samuel is a delight, and may very well have ruined me forever. He could not have made my job any easier if he tried.

Thank you for trusting me, and letting me “do my thang”.

I hope you like.

And to finish things off….what just might be my new favorite newborn image…..

Don’t Be a Dork | Halifax High School Senior Photographer

Personally, I don’t have my high school portrait hanging anywhere.

Know why? Because I look like a dork.

Be proud of your portraits!

Delaney’s Den | Halifax Childhood & Family Photographer

Tonight was the perfect evening to shoot another outfit from Delaney’s Den . I am a HUGE fan of Sheila’s work, and after purchasing a whole bunch of goodies last month, we decided to team up and  take advantage of what the other had to offer!  I can’t sew a lick to save my life, and she needed some cute photos for her website…it’s a win-win!

So if you are looking for some super cute, beautifully handmade outfits for all the little girls in your life…look no further!

Sneak Peek: Tortorelli Kids | Halifax Child Photographer

What a couple of cuties!

Dad had contacted me way back in February, and we were finally able to get our schedules and Mother Nature cooperating!

The morning started off with a few wishes at the fountain, and then we were off adventuring. We found ducks, swans and squirrels….and received only ONE reprimand from Park Security ;) Apparently, those “Keep Off Grass” signs aren’t just for show!

The whole family is moving to California in a couple weeks, and Grandma had requested some photos….hopefully this fit the bill!

Pam and Jason, your kids are adorable. So personable, polite and photogenic….you should be proud.

Sneak Peek: DesBarres Family | Halifax Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting the DesBarres family today at Sullivan’s Pond for some family photos.

Tomorrow, David is being deployed to Afghanistan for nine months, and I was honored to share in their afternoon together.

The ducks were happy to see Daniel with his box of crackers, and Daniel was happy to see the construction workers with their trucks.

Darlene, David and Daniel, I hope today was a small respite from the rollercoaster of a week you’ve had!

David, take care of yourself…. and thank you for serving our country.

A swift return.

October Opening | Halifax Childhood Photographer

Just a quick little post tonight to let everyone know that a session date has opened up for October 10th.

It’s the only date left in October, and qualifies for the complimentary set of custom cards, so act quickly!

Can’t have a post without a picture, so here’s a quick one of my daughter from this Natal Day weekend.

She’s all dolled up in some super sweet handcrafted clothing and accessories from a couple of new designers I’m working with.

You’ll be seeing lots of them in the future!
