Holiday Mini Sessions | Halifax Child Photographer

I am beat.

Yesterday Liam and I ran our all-day “last minute mini sessions”….and they were a rousing success.

I had grand plans to start working on images last night, but fell asleep in a chair at 8 o’clock! Liam didn’t even make it that far!

My family and I attended a Santa Claus parade this afternoon, and so I am just now starting to get everyone’s galleries in order. :)

I thought I should put up a quick blog post with some of my early faves from the day!

Sneak Peek: Little Miss Kate | Halifax Child Photographer

It’s that crazy time of the year for photographers, and I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everyone’s orders done, workshops planned, mini sessions scheduled, etc……and in the process, I showed up at a complete strangers house on Sunday, took of my boots and my coat….which would have been perfectly fine if Little Miss Kate didn’t live at the complete opposite end of the street.

Yes. That’s right. A COMPLETE STRANGER.

Once I got myself to the right house, I had a great time with the Hutchinson family!

Here is your sneak peek Judi, I hope you like it !!

Jensen | Halifax Child Photographer

Jensen was kind enough to help me christen the new space today!

It has been quite some time since I last shot with studio lighting, but we made out just fine ;)

Shannon, I hope I was able to live up to your expectations!!

Sneak Peek: Zach and Will | Halifax Child & Family Photographer

It’s the time of year when weather can be hit or miss, but we lucked out today….nary a raindrop or snowflake in sight!

What a fun morning with some great kids! We met at the studio downtown, and went for a walk around the block…..we hit up a cool empty lot, Parade Square, and Freak Lunchbox! Zach picked out a green gummy frog for me, and Will thought I was more of a “Big Toe” kinda gal. ;)

The boys were SO well behaved, and excellent at taking direction….thank you Latham-Seymour family!!

The Casey Family | Halifax Child & Family Photographer

The most frequent question I am asked before a session is……what should we wear?

I have a pretty standard answer, but lately I have been wanting to give more specific direction.

So when I was asked to join Liam on a shoot for the Casey family, I pitched my idea for a “Depression Era” styled theme. And god love ‘em, Jackie and Sean came through in spades.

Paige and Hannah got out of the car, and I swooned. Literally.

I know you were nervous Jackie, but thank you for blindly trusting our vision !
